This shawl/scarf is at a size used by Roman re-enactors as a Focale. But it can be used for many other re-enactment periods. Basically it is a smaller shawl/scarf.

Also in modern days, this  scarf is a nice accessory.

The edges are finished with a sewing machine and 100% silk thread.

Plant dyed fabrics are known for their unique color, as well as the dark and light shades in the fabric. This is because it is handwork. The fabrics are dyed in large cauldrons on open fire. Delicate shades are known to be acceptable or even loved.

It is recommended to wash this fabric before you use it, especially red and blue tend to ‘bleed’ a bit. Keeping the temperature on 30 degrees celcius and with the use of soft detergent, it will not affect the color or size of the fabric.
