Diagonal twill wool felted dark greyish brown is a sturdy wool fabric made from slightly rougher carded fibres, giving it a felt‑like appearance while still retaining a clear diagonal twill weave. This combination creates a warm, durable fabric that is ideal for winter garments. Thanks to its tight weave, the fabric is naturally quite water‑repellent and offers good protection against wind and cold.

The material has a pleasantly firm hand but still drapes well, making it suitable for coats, jackets, kirtles, hoods and structured clothing. The felted finish gives the surface a soft, slightly matte look without losing the characteristic twill structure.

This fabric is also very suitable for later periods of historical clothing and re‑enactment, such as the 14th, 15th and 16th century.
