Sodium hydrosulphite is an essential ingredient for Indigo dyes.

Usually the ratio used is 2% Indigo and 7% sodium hydrosulphite (on fabric weight).

A bath of 20 grams Indigo needs about 70 grams sodium hydrosulphite.
