Blue melange diagonal twill wool is made from slightly rougher carded wool, giving it a soft, felt‑like appearance with a subtle fuzzy surface. Unlike actual felt, it has a clear diagonal twill weave that adds structure and durability. The tight weave makes the fabric naturally water‑repellent, and despite its firm character, it drapes pleasantly.

The blue melange colour shows a gentle blend of tones, adding depth and a natural, slightly mottled look. This fabric is also suitable for later medieval re‑enactment periods such as the 14th, 15th, and 16th century.
